Chesterton girls tennis aims for fifth consecutive tennis sectional title in championship match vs. host Valparaiso at 4:30 p.m. today

Chesterton and host Valparaiso meet for the sectional championship today at 4:30 p.m.
Unable to play Tuesday and Wednesday because of wet courts, Chesterton dominated two opponents Thursday to reach the final. The Trojans defeated Kouts and Portage, both by 5-0 scores.
Chesterton’s doubles teams combined won all 24 games they played Thursday. No. 1 doubles Amelia Smith and Aleksa Sorgic ran their season record to 18-1 and No. 2 doubles Anisa Faroh and Lauren Pilarski are 19-0.
Chesterton won a road DAC match vs. Valparaiso, 4-1, on April 29. Valpo won the No. 2 singles match that day.
Chesterton No. 1 singles player Kenzie Kania enters the title match with a 15-5 record and No. 2 singles Lizzy Navarro is 10-6.
Trojans coach said that he thinks the Trojans are “playing some of our best tennis.”
