Winter sports review 2025-26: Girls swim and dive
Brenley Bonez picked up four medals, including one for placing third in the 100 breaststroke, at the state swim and dive meet.

The Chesterton girls swim and dive team extended its streak of consecutive DAC championships to 27 and placed first or second in all 12 events.
The Trojans had a similarly dominant performance in the sectional meet, also extending their streak of consecutive champions to 27.
They placed seventh at the state meet. Brenley Bonez placed third and fourth in individual events and fifth in two relays. Adalyn Laughner added a seventh-place finish in an individual event to go with fifth-place finishes in two relays.
Final DAC standings: 1. Chesterton, 2. Valparaiso, 3. Crown Point, 4. Lake Central, 5. Portage, 6. LaPorte, 7. Merrillville, 8. Michigan City.
