The Trojans went 25-5 overall, finished second in the DAC with a 6-1 record and won their seventh sectional title in school history.
It was the fourth sectional title in 10 seasons for Coach Marc Urban, whose .764 winning percentage at Chesterton is fourth-best among active Indiana high school boys basketball coaches.
Final DAC standings: 1. Crown Point, 2 Chesterton, 3. Portage, 4 tie. LaPorte and Michigan City, 6 tie. Merrillville and Valparaiso, 8. Lake Central.
